Our Story 

We’re Hannah and Pete — these days most people know us simply as The Gaskells Unfiltered

Our story began the modern way: on OKCupid in 2017. A few too many late-night messages later, we realised this wasn’t just small talk — it was the start of something life-changing. By 2018, we’d moved into our first home together and got engaged (yes, we don’t hang about). A year later we were married, and in 2020 we unpacked yet another mountain of boxes in Broadgate, Preston — the place we now proudly call home.

Life since hasn’t exactly followed the tidy Instagram grid version of events. We’ve walked through health challenges, neurodivergence, infertility, and more besides. But here’s the thing: we’ve learned that being unfiltered — honest, raw, creative, and ourselves — is where the real strength lies.

So now we’re doing something new: sharing our journey, our music, our creative work, and our slightly chaotic everyday life with others. From board games to church life, from dogs underfoot to Hannah’s music and Pete’s writing, it’s all part of the tapestry.

For us, it’s about connection — telling the truth about who we are, finding joy even in hard places, and hopefully making you laugh (or at least nod knowingly) along the way.
